Zeki Demirtaşoğlu, the President of DESMÜD, stated that exporters do not come to Çorum because it does not have an airport, and organized a breakfast meeting at the TOBB-OSB Vocational and Technical Anatolian High School to increase cooperation between the education and industry sectors in Çorum and to train the future workforce.

In his speech at the event, Zeki Demirtaşoğlu emphasized that exporters first look at whether there is an airport in the city they intend to visit, saying, "In a TV program, under the title of Çorum, I said the following: I think Çorum is a branded city. I don't know how many cities in the Republic of Turkey have so many machinists who are internationally recognized brands. I want Çorum's name to be at the airport between Amasya and Çorum. Because when they come to Çorum in the countries we export to, they say why should we fly somewhere else. The essence of exporting is to be able to go to a place with a single flight. Waiting times for each flight are a waste of time. Our guests should be able to fly directly to Çorum while flying. Especially Çorum, Gaziantep, and Konya are important, with Çorum coming first among them. It is necessary to support our industrialists and increase our exports. Credit interest support should be provided. We are experiencing problems in reaching banks and financial points. I believe that Çorum will progress and grow significantly. Free land allocation is crucial for our young entrepreneurs to start their businesses. We want the Rehabilitation OSB law to be enacted as soon as possible."
