Bastak's testing methods are now being used in the USA, Canada, and Europe" Four new methods developed by Bastak's R&D department have been included in the International Association for Cereal Science and Technology (ICC) catalog.

Bastak, which has become prominent in the production of sectoral testing devices as well as milling machines on a European scale, has developed four new methods in its R&D department. These methods have been included in the ICC catalog and made available for use by universities, research centers, and quality control laboratories in Europe, Canada, the USA, and worldwide.

Zeki Demirtaşoğlu, CEO of Bastak, stated that through their developed systems, they contribute to the Turkish economy and serve the global milling industry. He also mentioned plans for further investments totaling at least 5 million dollars in the next three years to strengthen their position in this field.

"We own the patent for the robotic sampling system," said Demirtaşoğlu, highlighting that Bastak Technology, primarily engaged in the production of quality control devices for milling machines and the food industry, has Turkey's first and only food quality control devices R&D center. He also mentioned that they currently have 72 food and quality grain control devices, with their developed robotic sampling system being the world's first and only patented system in this field.

Underlining the importance of food quality control both in domestic consumption and international trade, Demirtaşoğlu emphasized that the International Association for Cereal Science and Technology, of which he is a committee member, is an international network consisting of cereal scientists and technology experts.

Demirtaşoğlu stated that ICC standard methods guide international trade, regulations, and standards, and with the inclusion of four methods in the ICC catalog, Bastak has set a precedent in Turkey and worldwide.

"Measuring with a precision of one thousandth of a millimeter"

Zeki Demirtaşoğlu mentioned that they operate in a production area of 10,000 square meters, 7,000 square meters of which are covered, in Kahramankazan, Ankara. He stated that they employ 265 people, including 195 engineers. Demirtaşoğlu pointed out that their devices, which measure with a precision of less than 1 micron (one thousandth of a millimeter), are currently used in 80 countries, and they conduct approximately 350,000 tests annually.
