While some believe that these innovative individuals will soon develop systems that surpass humans' capacity to learn or evaluate any subject, others remain skeptical because all cognitive activities are interwoven with value judgments subject to human experience.

Ideal artificial intelligence is the customization of artificial intelligence to perform operations aimed at a specific purpose. Mechanical learning, one of the subsets of artificial intelligence, is the application of computer programs to learn new data spontaneously without any guidance from humans. Such deep learning techniques enable the automatic learning of ungrouped data such as large amounts of text, images, graphics, or videos.

As technology progresses, the previous criteria defining artificial intelligence are becoming obsolete. For example, tasks performed by machines calculating basic functions or recognizing text via optical character recognition are no longer considered as functions of artificial intelligence but rather as normal computer functions.

Artificial intelligence works with an interdisciplinary approach based on mathematics, computer science, linguistics, psychology, and more in machine design and manufacturing. Other machine examples with artificial intelligence include chess-playing computers and driverless cars. Each of these machines operates by carefully weighing all actions, as each action will ultimately affect a final outcome. For example, an artificial intelligence computer system for driverless cars calculates and implements collision-preventing calculations, taking all external data into account.

Artificial intelligence is increasingly being used in milling today as well. Obtaining high-quality products after grinding is made possible by smart monitoring, diagnosis, real-time assessment, production optimization, raw material management, machine learning, and the use of powerful data tools. With the inclusion of artificial intelligence-based algorithms, these complex operations of the grinding process can be carried out to achieve excellent results.
