Milling sector increased its target in exports

Mill Association for Milling and Sector Machinery Manufacturers (DESMÜD) President Zeki Demirtaşoğlu stated that the export of milling and sector machinery manufacturers was approximately 4.2 billion dollars in 2023, saying, "With the same growth rates, we aim to achieve a 5 billion dollar export in 2024."

Zeki Demirtaşoğlu, President of the Milling and Sector Machinery Manufacturers Association (DESMÜD), made evaluations regarding the activities and goals of the milling industry for the year 2023 in an interview with AA correspondent.

Reminding that DESMÜD, which brings together Turkish mill manufacturers and sector machinery manufacturers under one roof, was established in 2017, Demirtaşoğlu emphasized that the association is the only civil society organization working in the field of milling.

Demirtaşoğlu explained that as DESMÜD, they aim to enable Turkish mill machinery manufacturers to produce competitively and in compliance with international quality standards, improve market opportunities and cooperation possibilities, follow emerging technologies, and support scientific and sectoral research.

Drawing attention to the fact that member companies of DESMÜD export 90-95% of their production, Demirtaşoğlu said, "We aimed for a 4 billion dollar export in 2023, the 100th anniversary of our Republic, and we exceeded this figure. The export of milling and sector machinery manufacturers was approximately 4.2 billion dollars in 2023. With the same growth rates, we aim to achieve a 5 billion dollar export in 2024."
