MEHTAP YILMAZ - Zeki Demirtaşoğlu, President of the Mill and Machinery Manufacturers Association (DESMÜD), stated that they signed an export agreement worth 80 million dollars as a result of the negotiations held at the GRAINTECH INDIA 2023 fair in India, saying, "We aim to continue increasing exports and waving our flag in more countries." Demirtaşoğlu made remarks to the AA correspondent regarding the export activities in the milling sector.

Reminding that DESMÜD, which gathers Turkish mill manufacturers and sector machinery producers under one roof, was established in 2017, Demirtaşoğlu mentioned that over 95% of its members are engaged in exports. Pointing out the importance given to R&D and the establishment of factories with a high rate of turnkey technology, Demirtaşoğlu emphasized that milling machines produced in Turkey are ranked first globally. Demirtaşoğlu also recalled that exports have been made to 164 countries so far.

Stating that they are exerting all efforts to increase exports to more countries and in higher amounts, especially in 2023, the centenary of the Republic of Turkey, Demirtaşoğlu reported that they, as DESMÜD, organized the GRAINTECH INDIA 2023 fair in India last month in collaboration with the organizing company GRAINTECH.

Indicating that negotiations continued after the fair, Demirtaşoğlu said, "As a result of the negotiations held at the GRAINTECH INDIA 2023 fair in India, we have signed an export agreement worth 80 million dollars. We aim to double our export revenue from 3.5 billion dollars in 2022 in the coming years. We aim to continue increasing exports and waving our flag in more countries."

Demirtaşoğlu underscored their focus on exports as DESMÜD members, noting that they will participate in the International Milling Technologies Fair in Rostov, Russia, at the end of this month. Demirtaşoğlu mentioned that they will continue activities such as fairs, seminars, and bilateral business meetings in other countries until the end of the year, emphasizing their commitment to supporting production and Turkey's growth model based on exports.
