The milling sector didn't stop during the pandemic.

"The milling sector didn't stop during the pandemic." President of the Association of Mill and Industrial Machinery Manufacturers (DESMÜD), Zeki Demirtaşoğlu, stated, "Despite the COVID-19 pandemic, we didn't refrain from producing in 2020."

Demirtaşoğlu, announcing that they achieved exports exceeding 2 billion dollars in 2020, stated that they exported milling machines to 140 countries and established turnkey factories. Demirtaşoğlu summarized the following information:

EXPORTS OVER 2 BILLION DOLLARS

"2020 was indeed very challenging due to the pandemic. We, as industrialists, were certainly affected by this process, but the knowledge and experience we have acquired and the proper work we have done in the past have somewhat facilitated our passage through this process. As DESMÜD, we aimed to close 2020 with an export of 2.8 billion dollars and provide dollar input to our country and create added value, but this was not possible under pandemic conditions. Nevertheless, we continued to produce with all our might and create employment. Although we did not receive the full return for our efforts over the past year, as the milling machine sector, we managed to achieve exports exceeding 2 billion dollars in 2020."
