Değirmenciler returned with an export connection worth 80 million dollars from India.

Zeki Demirtaşoğlu, the President of the Mill and Sector Machinery Manufacturers Association (DESMÜD), stated that they had reached an export agreement worth 80 million dollars as a result of negotiations at the GRAINTECH INDIA 2023 fair held in India, saying, "We aim to continue increasing exports and waving our flag in more countries."

Demirtaşoğlu made statements to the AA correspondent regarding export efforts in the milling sector.

Reminding that DESMÜD, which brings together Turkish mill manufacturers and sector machinery producers under one roof, was established in 2017, Demirtaşoğlu said that more than 95% of its members were engaged in exports. Emphasizing the importance given to R&D and the establishment of factories with a high rate of turnkey technology, Demirtaşoğlu drew attention to the fact that milling machines produced in Turkey ranked first in the world, recalling that exports had been made to 164 countries so far.

Demirtaşoğlu stated that they were working with all their might to increase exports to more countries and at higher rates on the 100th anniversary of the Republic of Turkey in 2023, explaining that within this scope, they conducted the GRAINTECH INDIA 2023 fair in India last month together with the organizer company GRAINTECH.

"Aim to double export revenue"

Demirtaşoğlu emphasized that as Turkish millers, they attached great importance to India, which constitutes almost 20% of the world's population, and in return, they were also welcomed with interest, stating that representatives from the India Flour Millers Federation, Karnataka State Rice Millers Association, Vegetable Food Industry Association, and Science Employment and Technology Association, along with about 700 company officials, participated in the fair.

Demirtaşoğlu indicated that the negotiations continued after the fair, saying, "As a result of the negotiations at the GRAINTECH INDIA 2023 fair held in India, we made an export agreement worth 80 million dollars. We aim to double our export revenue, which was 3.5 billion dollars in 2022, in the coming years. We aim to continue increasing exports and waving our flag in more countries."

Highlighting that they are focused on exports as DESMÜD members, Demirtaşoğlu noted that they would participate in the International Milling Technologies Fair in Rostov, Russia, at the end of this month. Demirtaşoğlu stated that they would continue activities such as fairs, seminars, and bilateral business meetings in other countries until the end of the year, emphasizing that as a sector, they would continue to support production and Turkey's growth model based on exports.
