Bastak Academy: Trainings that build the future in food safety and quality
Founded in 1999 by Zeki Demirtaşoğlu and the first of the Bastak Group Companies, Bastak Instruments, which is the first of Bastak Group Companies, adds flavour to food, energises life and designs the future with its expert and international staff in order to leave a livable world for future generations with the power it derives from its values in the fields of food, flour, grain, seed, oilseed, legumes and feed quality control devices, robotic sampling systems with Turkey’s and the world’s first patent and utility model, 35 different flour additives while realising its centuries-old dreams in its quarter-century adventure.
Demirtaşoğlu stated that a few days ago, he lectured to 80 food engineering students at Ankara University Food Engineering Department, where he took part during his undergraduate and graduate education, on Food Safety and Quality, which is the field of activity of his company and which is very important for the future of the world, and stated that it was extremely valuable for him to come together with our engineers who will build future generations.
Demirtaşoğlu stated that they are proud of representing our country in the international arena while being in the leading position with the first and only ICC Standard 189 and ICC Standard 192 standards, 4 analysis methods and 9 devices in the ICC booklet, which pioneered science and academia that they brought to the world and our country, and stated that within the framework of Bastak Academy training activities, they organise events where industry leaders and academicians come together to share knowledge and experience. He stated that they always try to feed their leadership in the sector by coming together with current and future experts in the sector.
Zeki Demirtaşoğlu added that they try to provide a rich learning experience by bringing together academic studies with symposiums, conferences and technical trips, online and face-to-face trainings and academic studies within the framework of Bastak Academy, within the scope of University – Industry collaborations, and stated that they attach importance to equal opportunities in education and focus on science and innovation by creating a continuous learning environment. He added that they try to enable dear students to have the opportunity to communicate and prepare for the future with Internship / Candidate Engineer programmes. Demirtaşoğlu expressed his belief that these events make a significant contribution to our efforts to increase the quality and trust in the sector.
