Bastak Instruments: Shaping the Future with ICC Standards

At Bastak Instruments, we proudly showcased our innovative solutions shaping the future of the food industry at the 17th ICC Flour and Bread Congress held in France from April 22nd to 25th, 2024. This significant event brought together leading companies in the sector, providing an opportunity to discuss the latest developments and future trends.

Our booth at the 17th ICC Flour and Bread Congress in Nantes, France attracted attention and received great interest from visitors. We proudly presented 72 different quality control devices, flour additives, and robotic sampling systems designed to meet the needs of the food industry. Additionally, we offered visitors the opportunity to experience the functionality of our products firsthand through interactive presentations and product demonstrations.

Furthermore, we once again experienced the pride of being the first in Turkey and second in the world to sign with ICC Standard No. 189 and Standard No. 192. For over 60 years, the ICC standard methods applied in the safety and quality assessment of grains, grain products, foods, and feeds have served as guides for international trade, national and international regulations, and industry standards such as ISO and TSE for food producers and control laboratories. Bastak Instruments has pioneered 4 new ICC methods for global use, marking a first in Turkey and the world.

As Bastak Instruments, our method study titled "Determining the wet gluten, gluten index, and dry gluten of the whole wheat meal and wheat flour using Bastak equipment" has been accepted by the International Association for Cereal Science and Technology, ICC, as ICC Standard No.192. Additionally, our method study titled "Estimation of Alpha-Amylase Activity level based on viscosity in 'Determination of Falling Number' using Bastak FNCheq device" has been accepted by the International Association for Cereal Science and Technology, ICC, as ICC Standard No.189 in 2021 and made available for global use.

In the past 2 years, Bastak Instruments has been featured in the ICC booklet with Standard 192 and Standard 189. Our methods will be taught and our devices will be used primarily in universities, research institutes, educational institutions, government laboratories, and other public and private sector institutes and laboratories, especially in the USA, Europe, Canada, and all other countries.

Bastak brand equipment with International ICC standards, including the 4000 and 4500 model roller mills, 1900 model hammer mill, 8000 model sieve shaker, 5000 and 5100 model FNCheq (Falling Number) devices, and Gluten Quality Control System devices such as the 2100 model Gluten Centrifuge Cheq, 2500 model Dry Cheq, and 6100 model Gluten Cheq, have indisputably become acceptable worldwide.

This success has once again proven Bastak Instruments' leadership in the industry and strengthened our mission to shape the future of the food industry. We are committed to continuing this leadership and innovative spirit in future congresses.
