Coal presents different physical and chemical properties both in the place where it occurs naturally and in classification as a result of cleaning. In order to determine these properties by applying various methods, samples must be taken in accordance with TS 2390 standards. Regardless of the purpose, the sample should be representative of the main population. Results from studies on non-representative samples can be misleading as well as cause significant disagreements.
