The two main products obtained by milling wheat grain are wheat flour and bran. For the miller who initially processes wheat, quality means high white flour yield and milling quality, while maintaining low energy consumption. Wheat flour yield is an important characteristic not only for the milling industry but also for wheat quality.
Commercial milling performance can be determined by grinding wheat using laboratory research mills using experimental milling methods (AACC 1983, 26-20, 26-21, 26-30). Bastak Brand 4000, 4500, 4500S, 1800, 1600, 1650, 1900, and 1900S models of laboratory-type double-passage mills allow the values of the sample to be milled in the factory to be determined in advance, enabling necessary changes and adjustments to be made in the process.
Working Principle;
The grinding principle in hammer milling is based on the principle of high-speed, 16,800 rpm hammers crushing the sample in the grinding vessel. The ground product in the grinding vessel passes through a 0.8 mm diameter steel sieve located at the top of the vessel and is transferred to the sample collection vessel by airflow. The product grinding speed is adjusted by the airflow entering the feed adjustment valve. The air leaves the device through the dust filter. As the air is removed from the dust filter, the ground sample is collected in the sample vessel. After grinding, the device is stopped by the on/off button. To collect the ground product, the container is released by pulling down on the spring-loaded clamping bar located under the sample collection vessel. The freed container is then removed, and the ground product is collected.
Industrial Application Areas:
Bastak produces eight different types of mills, including roller, hammer, and burn mills. It is the only manufacturer in the world with such a wide range of mills. These different types of mills allow for physical, chemical, microbiological, physicochemical, photochemical, rheological, and organoleptic tests, particularly moisture content. Our mills are used in many sectors where industry needs are met. More than 20,000 units of Bastak Technology, including laboratory mills, are actively operating in 150 countries worldwide. A significant amount of global economic assets are classified by testing samples prepared by Bastak Laboratory mills. These mills have achieved the ICC standard and are available to all universities, academics, research centers, and international quality control laboratories worldwide, achieving international standards. Their results are undeniably accepted worldwide. Using the values obtained from these mills, quality control of the semi-finished product begins with the analysis of the raw material at the factory entrance. This ensures a predetermined quality control of the final semi-finished product. Companies purchase millions of dollars' worth of raw materials using our laboratory mills, which utilize precise international standards, to determine their economic value and ensure the safety of their products. They utilize Bastak laboratory mills to identify potential problems before production, take the necessary precautions, and achieve targeted quality by blending raw materials.
