Zeki Demirtaşoğlu, the President of the Flour and Sector Machinery Manufacturers Association (DESMÜD), stated that they have signed an $80 million export agreement following the meetings held at the GRAINTECH INDIA 2023 fair in India. He emphasized their aim to continue increasing exports and wave the Turkish flag in more countries.

Reminding that DESMÜD, which brings together Turkish flour manufacturers and sector machinery producers under one roof, was established in 2017, Demirtaşoğlu said that over 95% of their members are engaged in export activities. Pointing out that due to the emphasis on R&D and the establishment of factories with a high rate of turnkey technology, Turkish flour milling machines are leading the world, Demirtaşoğlu recalled that exports have been made to 164 countries so far.

Demirtaşoğlu stated that they are working with all their might to increase exports to more countries at higher rates in 2023, the 100th anniversary of the Republic of Turkey. He mentioned that last month, DESMÜD, in collaboration with the GRAINTECH organizer company, organized the GRAINTECH INDIA 2023 fair in India.

"Aim to double export revenue"

Underlining the importance they attach to India, which constitutes almost 20% of the world's population, as Turkish millers, Demirtaşoğlu noted that they were also warmly welcomed, with representatives from the India Flour Millers Federation, Karnataka State Rice Millers Association, Vegetable Food Industry Association, and the Science Employment and Technology Association, alongside about 700 company officials, participating in the fair.

Demirtaşoğlu pointed out that the meetings continued after the fair, stating, "As a result of the meetings held at the GRAINTECH INDIA 2023 fair in India, we have signed an $80 million export agreement. We aim to double our export revenue, which was $3.5 billion in 2022, in the coming years. Our goal is to continue the increase in exports and wave our flag in more countries."

Emphasizing their focus on exports as members of DESMÜD, Demirtaşoğlu mentioned that they will participate in the International Flour Technologies Fair in Rostov, Russia, at the end of this month. Demirtaşoğlu stated that they will continue activities such as fairs, seminars, and bilateral business meetings in other countries until the end of the year, expressing their commitment to supporting production and Turkey's growth model based on exports.
